摘要
本文基于系统功能语言学的人际意义理论，从语气、情态和评价三个维度系统分析辜鸿铭《论语》英译本。研究发现，辜氏通过情态系统的层次化处理构建君子修养境界，借助语气与情态系统的协同作用再现儒家教学相长理想，运用评价资源塑造儒家理想人格。其翻译实践本质上是一场跨文化人际意义重构，为中华典籍外译提供了重要启示。

Abstract
Based on the interpersonal meaning of Systemic Functional Linguistics, this paper systematically analyzes Ku Hung-ming's English translation of The Discourses and Sayings of Confucius from the three dimensions of Mood, Modality, and Appraisal. The study finds that Ku constructed the realm of the cultivated Junzi (superior man) through the stratified deployment of modal resources, recreated the Confucian ideal of reciprocal enlightenment in teaching and learning via the synergistic interaction of Mood and Modality, and shaped the Confucian ideal personality using Appraisal resources. Essentially, his translation practice constitutes a cross-cultural reconstruction of interpersonal meaning, offering significant insights for the translation of Chinese classics into foreign languages.
